Cheryl Price
Cheryl Price has been a teacher
of children and educators for more than twenty years. She has been
involved in the Oklahoma Principals' Academy since it began in
1994. Her insight, courage, and determination to be an instructional
leader who inspired and facilitated excellence in her own school
was the beginning of a hero's journey which eventually led her
to her current position as the director/presenter in 1996.
Cheryl is a native of Oklahoma where she obtained her Bachelor
of Science in elementary education from Northeastern State University
in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She later received a Master of Education
in curriculum and instruction from Oklahoma State University in
Stillwater, Oklahoma. She also holds certifications as a reading
specialist and an elementary principal.
In addition to her responsibilities
as the director/presenter of the Oklahoma Principals' Academy,
Cheryl serves as a committee
member for the Oklahoma Residency Program, which is a program that
shadows, guides, and supports entry-year teachers during their
first year in the classroom.
Cheryl also provides vision, leadership, inspiration, and program
coordination for Great Expectations, the most dynamic and meaningful
teacher training program for experienced and entry-year teachers
in Oklahoma. She is a gifted public speaker who conducts professional
development seminars and works with teachers, principals, and superintendents
throughout the state of Oklahoma and beyond.
